Psychology and the Civil War

Purpose of the Interdisciplinary Project

Example of Psychological Application:

HOW WAS STONEWALL JACKSON KILLED?
Historians have known the cold, factual answer so well for the past 137 years that there is no
crying need to warm it up again. But what would happen if you open the door to psychologists?
They might torment us with another kind of question:
"Why did so many individuals claim guilt for the accidental, fatal
shooting of Stonewall Jackson at Chancellorsville?"
